1 tablespoon butter

8 ounces mushrooms, sliced

Ingredients: 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning or garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 pound fresh white mushrooms, sliced (about 5 cups) 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 tablespoon butter 8 ounces imitation crabmeat, flaked 1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1 cup chicken broth or seafood broth 3 tablespoons dry sherry or white wine chopped fresh parsley leaves for garnish (optional) * Instructions:

In a large saucepan, combine the soup, milk, seafood seasoning or garlic powder and pepper. Stir in the mushrooms, onion and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low; simmer for 10 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and broth until smooth; stir into the soup. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in the crabmeat and sherry. Cook for 2 minutes more or until heated through.

Ladle the soup into bowls; sprinkle with parsley if desired. Serve with crackers or breadsticks.
